At the NBAA Convention on November 17, 2015, Victor Smith moderated the panel Corporate Aircraft Sharing for Dummies: A Practical Overview.

On November 16, 2015, Gary Garofalo participated on the NBAA Tax Conference panel Maximizing Aircraft Value: Cost Sharing and Reimbursement.

Aaron Goerlich and Jason Maddux presented on Parts 91 and 135 operational control considerations at the 2015 Cincinnati Business Aviation Symposium on September 18, 2015.

During the October 2014 NBAA Tax Conference, Gary presented Ownership and Operating Structures 101: Navigating the FARs and during the NBAA Convention presented Air Charter Brokerage: Back to the Future.

In October 2013, Gary made a presentation titled Part 91 Cost Sharing during the NBAA Tax Conference and, along with Aaron and Allan Mann (Reynolds Jet), also presented Sixty Shades of Gray a discussion of flight department company, citizenship, open legs, and broker issues during the NBAA Convention.

On May 3, 2013, while attending the NBAA Tax Conference, Gary participated in a panel titled The Critical Few: 91 vs. 135 Leases and the “Flight Department Company.”

On May 21 – 23, 2013, Gary attended the 2013 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition in Geneva where he spoke on an educational panel discussing illegal charter flights and their economic and safety impact.

On February 15, 2013, Aaron delivered a presentation entitled Revenue Generating Options for Corporate Aircraft – Parts 91 and 135 at the US Corporate Aviation Summit in Miami, Florida.  See www.aeropodium.com for additional information.

Gary presented on U.S. cabotage restrictions at the annual NBAA/CBAA Cross-Border Issues Conference held in Ottawa on December 6 and 7, 2012.

On November 5, 2012, Gary presented an overview of U.S. regulation of business aviation at the Asia-Pacific Business Aviation Workshop held in Washington, DC and sponsored by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency.

Gary presented at the NBAA Tax Conference held in Orlando on October 28 and 29, 2012, on the subject of FAA Operational and Regulatory Issues Affecting Business Aviation.

On day 2 of the Tax Conference, Gary co-chaired a workshop on FET/DOT issues applicable to air charter brokers, which addressed the regulatory status and enforcement issues facing air charter brokers and what may be in store from DOT.

Aaron attended the NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention in Orlando, Florida, October 30-November 1, 2012, and, as one of the continuing professional education programs offered there, gave a presentation entitled Operational Control Best Practices, geared primarily to corporate flight departments.

Aaron, with extensive assistance from Jason, spearheaded the creation of the NBAA Operational Control Handbook.  The handbook was finalized in October 2012, distributed at the NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention, and is available at www.nbaa.org to NBAA Members.

John Copley presented on the subject of Alternatives in Structuring Business Aircraft Arrangements to Avoid Tax Leakage at the 19th Annual Aircraft Transactions Forum sponsored by ALM on February 27, 2012, in Scottsdale, AZ.
